Tammy's daily routine for Peaches, organized. Don't aim for perfect β aim for consistent.
π’ The golden potty rule:every new spot is a potty spot. Put her down from your arms β new spot. Wakes from a nap β new spot. Comes out of the crate β new spot. Always make the new spot outside.
π½οΈ Feeding log
π Today (Jun 11 β Day 1): ate at 2:00pm β next meal dinner ~5:30pm. Food down 8β10 min, then pick up. Last water by 6pm. Amount: ~Β½ cup dry per meal to start β see "How much" under π½οΈ Feeding below.
π A typical day
7:30 AMUp. Out of crate β wait at the door for permission to exit (after you go first) β potty on command (with treats) β breakfast β potty
MorningTrain, then play. Always train before play β if she plays first she's too tired/wound up to listen. Then play with siblings or kitchen time.
After napRepeat the cycle: crate Β· potty Β· train Β· potty Β· train Β· play
3β5 PMNAP (crate)
~5 PMUp β potty β dinner β train β last water ~6pm
6:30β7:45/8NAP (crate)
8β10 PMCycle: crate Β· potty Β· train Β· potty Β· train β play & cuddle in between

Sometimes add a 4th nap if she's too energetic to train or listen. This was his typical day β yours will flex, just keep the rhythm.
π The core cycle
CrateβPottyβTrainβPottyβTrainβPlay
Train before play, every time. A wound-up puppy can't focus. Treats fund the training, so she's fed 2Γ a day with supervised water until ~5:30pm to balance it out.
π½οΈ Feeding
Meal + water down ~8β10 min, then pick it up.
Breakfast: 7:30β8 AM Β· Dinner: 5β5:30 PM
Training treats between meals π
Fed 2Γ daily + supervised water until ~5:30pm Β· last water ~6pm
Potty as soon as she walks away from the dishes / is done.
π How much per meal: start at ~Β½ cup dry (2 meals β 1 cup/day) β a fine, slightly-conservative amount with her canned Pork & Venison + training treats on top.
8-week ranges: mini ΒΎβ1 cup/day Β· standard 1.5β2 cups/day. She's on a Large-Breed formula, so she'll likely need more as she grows. The real gauge isn't the cup β it's her body: feel her ribs easily + a slight waist from above, and adjust up/down weekly. Cross-check the chart on the bag for her projected adult weight. (Sources: American Doodle Registry, Jenna Lee Doodles, Canine Journal β June 2026.)
π½ Potty training
As soon as she finishes a drink or food β potty immediately.
Potty multiple times at each outing.
No potty? β back to crate (with toys), no floor/play reward. Wait 10 min, try again.
Got potty? β floor/reward time 20 min β potty again. Repeat the whole cycle.
Remember the golden rule up top β every transition (arms, nap, crate) resets to a brand-new spot, and the new spot is always outside.
π΄ Crate naps (super important)
Get 3β4 crate naps daily, 1.5β2 hrs each. A pup who only crates at night will scream much longer at bedtime β daily practice naps prevent that.
1 Β· Exercise + potty first2 Β· 2β5 safe crate toys3 Β· Close & lock, cover crate4 Β· Classical music5 Β· Leave the area6 Β· Give 20 min to settle
π Baths & bonding
Bathe as much as possible β definitely when stinky or sticky, but mostly for bonding. The ritual:
SingMassageSingMassageDrySwaddle tightly in a dry towel
Each family member sits and holds the swaddled pup β let her feel that person's heartbeat.
Always potty her before a bath π₯°
π Have your kids read to her before bed (Dr. Seuss is coming up!).
π Nighttime β "Sweet Doodle Dreams"
No water past 6pm. Keep the house calm. Change up the games.
Before the kids' bed: give each child a 10β20 min game with the puppy. After each activity, that child potties her. Next child's turn β repeat for each child. Then let her rest.
45 minβ1 hr before your bed: change up games β run in the yard, a trip around the house, practice steps, chase a ball, "doodle in the middle" β finish in the yard for potty.
After 11pm β into the crate:
Fun safe toys + a warm 64oz water bottle wrapped in a towel (feels like another pup).
Hide 2β3 broken training treats in the blankets.
Sing while prepping β cover the entire crate β walk away β classical music β lights out.
Don't get her unless she cries past 21 min.
β±οΈ If she cries past 21 min: quietly (no talking) take her to potty. Once she goes β "great job," pat, kiss, and hug her all the way back to the crate while singing. Cover. Lights out.
Love your puppy. Have patience. π
πΎ Games
Doodle in the middle (like monkey in the middle) β start close, keep getting further apart; don't let her get the ball.
Up & down the stairs is fun.
Last potty: go around the house as many times as you can, then potty again.
π‘ Handy tips
Kong: shop the Kong area β anything Kong has been great. Get at least 2 Kong chew toys to stuff and freeze.
Blow dryers are scary for a pup. Instead, a ~$20 Home Depot/Lowe's foot heater 12β20" from the crate on back-and-forth rotation (not too hot) soothes her to sleep. Cover 3 sides of the crate to keep the heat in.
