Cha Cha Doodles — Full Essentials Email

Her complete "Essentials 2026" message for Peaches 🐾 — organized for easy reading. Original wording preserved; lightly tidied.

Welcome — the big picture

This is what your puppy has been eating here at Cha Cha Doodles for the last 5 weeks, and what you'll need as she grows into a healthy, happy dog.

Why your doodle may become a fussy eater

That's why I rotate foods from 2 companies — no bored pups at mealtime.

The companies

You'll see 3 companies mentioned below:

  1. Paw Tree — food, treats, skincare, flea & tick, toys
  2. Life's Abundance — food, treats, skincare
  3. NuVet — vitamins

Both food companies (Paw Tree & Life's Abundance) have never had a recall, are made in the USA, and are formulated by holistic vets & veterinarians. Between the two I order 5 foods (4 dry / 1 canned) so I can safely switch things up. Order in January — they've asked customers to order early so they can restock before your pickup.

1 Paw Tree

pawtree.com/chachadoodles → click "My Recommendation"Cha Cha Doodles. If you can't reach the recommendations page, send me your full name, zip code, phone and email and I'll set up your account.

Dry food (3) — buy the X-LG option

X-LG comes as 3 × 10 lb sealed bags (easy to carry, store, keep fresh) and saves ~$40–44 per set vs. buying separately.

  1. Real Salmon, Peas & Sweet Potato Recipe
  2. Real Turkey & Sweet Potato Recipe
  3. Real Lamb, Chickpeas & Lentils Recipe (Poultry Free)

Probiotics (Large Breed)

She takes these daily. They come inside the Core 4 Essentials — I'd only get 1–2 Core 4 sets, then add extra probiotics. She'll go through about 4–5 (60ct) boxes over the 5–6 months. Always keep probiotics refrigerated.

Treats

You'll go through many training treats. My dogs love:

Dental treats (large breed) — break into halves for puppies until about 4 months.

Ultimate Seasoning

A game changer — lets me change up their dry-food flavor again and again.

Ear care

Doodles with big floppy ears need their ears cleaned and completely dry to feel good. See my recommendation page.

Raw food (new)

I use it as a surprise added to kibble, and as treats. I use all 3 flavors to switch things up.

Bathing & shampoos

Core 4 Essentials (Large Breed)

Helps with itching, anxiety (CBD Mega is proven to help with grooming, car rides, thunder — use as needed), nervousness meeting other dogs, loose stools, sensitive stomach, allergies, bad gas, cognitive issues, and more. Buying as a package saves money. 2 sets should last 5–6 months. On sale during January while supplies last. (Salmon oil goes fast — especially winter, and summer from swimming.)

⚠️ Fleas — very important

If you use any flea chemicals (Bravecto, NexGard, Simparica, Frontline — topical or chew, and others), I will void your 2-year health guarantee. Many reputable breeders do the same. Research what these chemicals do to our most special family members. Would you have your children take them? This puppy is your child too — and unlike a child, she can't tell you something is hurting her as the chemicals add up each month.

As a breeder for nearly 15 years and mom to multiple dogs, we never use flea medication — and never have fleas. I'm happy to tell you what we do.

Paw Tree Flea & Tick spray is one of my favorites — 3–6 bottles a year. Use it before a walk, before a puppy playdate, before the vet, when walking where other pets have walked, and any time you leave home.

Potty training

Yes — I've begun potty training. I can't guarantee a fully trained puppy, but she's past the basics by the time she leaves. Stay on a schedule: at 8 weeks she should go outside about every 20 minutes (while not in the crate). The timing improves week by week.

Toys

Paw Tree's vets have fun toys — ask me about favorites, and I'll send other ideas my dogs and pups love.

Discount: Pet Paws 20% code Intro4U (max value $20).

2 Life's Abundance

Best to call your first order in: 877-387-4564 (closes 7PM weekdays). Give them code 20110793 and tell them I'm your breeder. Please use only the All Life Stages dry food listed below — text me for a pic if you're unsure.

  1. All Life Stages Healthy Start Pack — the green & white bag; choose Large Breed. (If the Pack bundle is out of stock, order the standalone All Life Stages bag — same food.)
  2. Soothing Mist — the #1 call I get when a pup gets home is scratching (new grass, floors, rugs are all different from here). Use Soothing Mist when you see scratching, and extra-virgin coconut oil 1–2× monthly after baths, taking turns. Needs a continuous spray bottle.
  3. Turkey & Berry Chewies — 16 oz; you'll go through 2–4 bags. A favorite.
  4. Training Treats (Tasty Rewards) — 16 oz; 3–5 bags. Cheaper, so I use these as the main training treat.
  5. Canned Pork & Venison — I add ⅓ can, 3× daily (about a can a day). 4–5 cases of 24 (you can buy up to 5 cases). Dr. Jane formulated the canned food to help with bladder health. It runs out for months at a time — stock up.
  6. Dental Treats — 18 oz; ½ daily until 4 months, then whole, alternating daily with Paw Tree dental treats. (Keeps teeth white.)
  7. Antioxidant Health Bars
  8. Revitalizing Shampoo — 2–4 (she loves to get dirty). Soap-free but still sudsy; can be used as often as needed.
  9. Buffalo Bully Sticks — important for teething and training (and saving your furniture).
  10. Porky Puffs — Life's Abundance no longer sells these; ask for a substitute. I also get antlers — pups like different textures.
  11. Bath Fresh Mist — 2–4; a quick dry-bath cleanup for when there's no time for a full bath.

Extra-virgin coconut oil — melt ~2 oz, and after you rinse the shampoo and towel-dry, massage it in. Then swaddle tightly with a dry towel (just her face out), sit, sing, and bond. So important while she's little — she feels your heartbeat and your calm.

Autoship: 2nd order = 20 lb bag of the same All Stages food; 3rd and all future = the same All Stages 40 lb bag.

3 NuVet

Call your first order in: 1-800-474-7044, code 85765 (or order online at nuvetlabs.com).

NuVet Plus K-9 Wafers — she's been taking this daily supplement while in mom, while nursing, and now in her food. Give it as a treat (one daily). As a baby pup, break it in half — make her sit and earn each half. Give the whole wafer once she's older, usually 10–12 weeks. Save with the 90-day autoship.

Final steps

  1. Once you've placed your orders, send me your 3 receipts — based on those I'll put together a 9-day meal plan for your puppy.
  2. Then text me that you're ready for the next email: "Preparing To Bring Your Puppy Home."

Thank you for reading all of this — and a huge thank you for promising to care for and love your Cha Cha Doodle. 🐾
